El “Royal Institute of British Architects –RIBA” convoca un premio de arquitectura mundial: el Premio Internacional del RIBA. Este Premio se concederá a un edificio de cualquier tipo o presupuesto, y en cualquier país, que ejemplifique la excelencia en el diseño y la ambición arquitectónica, y que tenga un impacto social significativo. Cualquier arquitecto cualificado del mundo podrá optar al premio.

“A través de este premio, nuestra intención es identificar la arquitectura más visionaria e innovadora del mundo y fomentar el debate a nivel global y local, mostrando así el impacto positivo de los edificios y lugares diseñados por los arquitectos en las comunidades y su entorno” en palabras de la presidenta del RIBA, Jane Duncan.

El ganador será seleccionado por un gran jurado, liderado por el arquitecto británico, Richard Rodgers, y formado por Kunlé Adeyemi, Philip Gumuchdjian y Marilyn Jordan Taylor FAIA, Decana de Arquitetura de la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Pensilvania, quien representa a la UIA.
La fecha límite de inscripción es el 9 de febrero de 2016.

International
Our new global architecture awards champion buildings that change the world. Awarded to any building worldwide these awards set a new global standard for architecture and are open to any qualified architect. Architecture in the UK will be represented by the RIBA Stirling Prize winner.

RIBA Awards for International Excellence
Given to buildings worldwide that stretch the boundaries of architecture. Irrespective of style, complexity and size of both scheme and budget successful projects should demonstrate visionary or innovative thinking and excellence of execution. Winners of these awards are considered for the RIBA International Prize.

RIBA International Prize
Awarded to the building thought by the judges to be the most significant and inspirational of the year. The winning building will demonstrate visionary, innovative thinking, excellence of execution, whilst making a generous contribution to society and to its physical context - be it the public realm, the natural environment or both.

The prize re-affirms the visionary purpose of the RIBA as stated in its 1837 charter: “for the general advancement of Civil Architecture.” Only buildings that have won an RIBA Award for International Excellence will be eligible for the RIBA International Prize.

Deadlines
All RIBA awards (UK and international) are open from 8 December 2015 until 9 February 2016. To enter you will need to create an awards account which will allow you to manage all of your awards entries.
There will be no extensions to this deadline.
