Cookies Policy

What are cookies?

A cookie is a file that is downloaded onto your computer when you go into certain websites. Among other things, cookies allow websites to store and retrieve information about a user’s or their device’s browsing habits. According to the information that they contain and the way a person uses their device, they can be used for recognising an anonymous user.
Cookies are only associated with an anonymous user and their computer and do not provide references that enable personal details of the user to be gleaned.
Users who register or have started a session will benefit from services that are more personalised and oriented to their profile, thanks to the combination of the data stored in the cookies with the personal details used at the time they registered. Those users expressly authorise that information to be used for the purpose indicated, notwithstanding their right to reject or disable the use of cookies.

Typology, purpose and functioning of cookies in general

Types of cookies according to how long they remain activated.
Depending on how long they remain activated in the terminal device, a distinction can be drawn between:
Session cookies: which are designed to collect and store data while the user is viewing a website.
They are usually used for storing information that is only needed to provide the service requested by the user on one occasion (e.g. a list of products purchased).
Persistent cookies: These are cookies in which the data are stored on the device and can be accessed and processed for a length of time defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which can range from minutes to several years.

Types of cookie according to the entity that manages them

Depending on the entity that manages the device or domain from where the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained, a distinction can be drawn between:
Own cookies:  cookies that are sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain managed by the website’s publisher and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
Third party cookies: these cookies are sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher of the website, but by another entity which processes the data obtained through the cookies.

Types of cookies according to their purpose

According to the purpose for which the data obtained through the cookies are processed, a distinction can be drawn between:

  • Technical cookies: these cookies allow users to browse a website, platform or application and use the different options or services on it, such as, for example, controlling traffic and data communications, identifying the session, going into restricted access areas, remembering items that make up an order, performing the purchase process for an order, filling out an application form for registration or participation in an event, using secure elements while browsing, storing contents for broadcasting videos or sound clips or sharing contents on social networks.
  • Personalisation cookies: these cookies allow users to access the service with some general characteristics pre-defined on the basis of a series of criteria in the user’s device, such as, for example, the language, the type of browser via which the service is accessed, the regional configuration from where the service is accessed, etc.
  • Analysis cookies: These cookies allow the party responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users of the websites to which they are linked. The information gathered from cookies of this kind is used to measure the activity of the websites, applications or platforms and to put together browsing profiles of the users of those sites, applications and platforms, in order to make improvements on the basis of analysing data how users use the service.
  • Advertising cookies: these cookies allow advertising slots which the publisher may have included on a website, application or platform from which it provides the service requested to be managed as efficiently as possible, on the basis of criteria such as the content published or how frequently the advertisements are displayed.
  • Behavioural advertising cookies: these cookies enable advertising slots, which the publisher may have included on a website, application or platform from which it provides the service requested, to be managed as efficiently as possible. They store information about the behaviour of users obtained from ongoing observation of their browsing habits, which enables a specific profile to be put together for advertising to be displayed accordingly.

Consent and Authorisation to use cookies

When you go into this website for the first time, you will see a space or banner containing information about the use of cookies where you can consult this cookies policy via a link. If you consent to the use of cookies, continue browsing using the scroll bar or scroll or click on a link (accept), as the case may be, you will be deemed to have consented to our cookies policy and, consequently, to have agreed to let them be installed in your computer or device, unless you have changed your browser setting to reject their installation.
